Profit from surplus land
The Railways Ministry is exploring options to develop 44,000 hectares of surplus land in its possession. Apart from 100 budget hotels and 7,500 farm outlets which it is planning to set up on this land it is hoping to get big players like Reliance, Bharti and RPG Enterprises to set up their retail, hospitality and commercial real estate projects.
