Gujarat has emerged as a new shipbuilding destination
Gujarat, which has the longest coastline in the country, is all set to become a major world center for shipbuilding, thanks tofirms queuing up to establish shipbuilding and repair yards. Players like L&T, Adani, Pipavav Shipyard and ABG Shipyard - order book position at $510 million, including 48 ships under construction - have already made their presence in the state and several others are eyeing the turf.
