High-speed rail link for Hyderabad airport
Authorities in Andhra Pradesh have cleared a proposal for a modern rail system linking the existing Begumpet airport to the heart of the city's central business district and the proposed Hyderabad International Airport (HIAL) at Shamshabad. The GMR group that is currently implementing the international airports project came up with the idea of the rail link.
