Lanco Globolec to borrow Rs 13,000 crore for Sasan
Lanco Infratech-Globeleq consortium which won the competitive bid for the 4,000 megawatt Sasan ultra mega power project recently will resort to borrowing around Rs 13,000 crore for the project. The partners had the lowest bid of Rs 1.19 per unit for tariff-based project. According to Lanco Infratech chairman L Madhusudhan Rao, 80 per cent of the total project cost of Rs 16,000 crore will be funded through loans and the remainder through equity.
