CNG buses for Hyderabad
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is planning to purchase 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses for operation in the state capital Hyderabad. It is reported tenders have been called for and if things go as per the plan, the buses would be plying on the city roads by March next year. The buses, which are fuel efficient and have pollution emission levels less than conventional diesel operated buses, are expected to cost around Rs 17 lakh each.
